Here we go again, I hope you guys enjoy reading!

Task #1: Make a Pick-A-Path

I quite enjoyed doing this one, I made mine on a girl named Hazel, It's her first year/day of High School, I don't really know if its good or not, I also don't know if I like it or not, but I'll put it on here anyway!

Task #2: Learn a new song on an instrument.

In my case, Piano.
I was looking through "Simply Piano" For a song that I thought I'd like to play, and I came across Lily, by Alan Walker. It was not an easy song to learn, but I manged it.
I took a video of me playing the song, and tried to find a way to get it on here, e.g; Email, uploading to drive, iCloud. But the video wouldn't come through. :( So I have no physical proof that I played the song, But my mum took the video and she knows I did it. Sorry.

Task #3: Play a board game.

I like this one. Me and my mum, played Cludo.
I won. :)
I played as Orchid, my mum played as Scarlet.
We had a fun time.

Day #2

Take a look at what I did today!

Task #1: Complete a sudoku
I tried this one yesterday, but found it quite difficult. So I thought I'd try again, Sudoku definitely isn't easy.

I did it. then tried to take a screenshot but it went to another level or something, so I have no physical proof that I did it, but my mother did witness the completed sudoku and even checked that it was right. I tried to do another one but it was a bit harder and I wouldn't of been able to complete it. Sorry.

Task #2: Watch a Documentary
I love Documentaries, So why not watch one again?
I decided I'd watch Our Planet by David Attenburgh, for the 2nd time.
This is what I learnt:
From when we first travelled to the moon, til now, the human population has almost doubled.
and in about the same time period, the animal population declined my 60%.
Did you know that 90% of the oceans life is found in the shallows?
There's a place in Africa that's just a desert of salt and dust, when it rains there it goes from oven hot to a huge lake! Flamingos go breed there when this happens, they build mud nests so the nests stay a little bit cooler, and they're safe from predators because the water around is so salty that they don't venture in.
Did you know that tropical forests only cover 7% of earths land.

Task #3: Create a piece of Art for ANZAC day
I like art. I like ANZAC day. Why not?
I drew it in black-and-white, can you guess why? (It's not JUST because I couldn't be bothered to get my coloured pencils!)
I tried a few different designs but I settled on this one, nice and simple.

Day #1

Hello Potatoes!

How have you all been? I hope you've been staying healthy!
Marshland school, and all non-essential services are going to close midnight Wednesday, today! Because of this annoying virus that's going around. While us students aren't going to school, we've been given school work to do until the holidays. We need to do three tasks off the list every day, and blog at least once a day.

So I'm going to share with you what I've done!

Task #1: Jigsaw

An online jigsaw, I did a "Nice kitty" it was so cute! I took a screenshot of it almost done, and the finished jigsaw.

Reading for 30 minutes.
It says read at least 30 mins a day, but I'm not sure if it counts toward this, so I'm putting on here, but not really counting it as a task.

I'm reading a book called "Adventures of a Curious Cat" It's about a cat named Zelda, and she goes through lots of jobs, I read her diary entry's, and in one part of the book she tries to find fish to eat, and so she signs up to "Plenty of Fish in The Sea" and she contacts fish in an attempt to find a meal. It's a really funny book, and I'm really enjoying it!

Task #2: Write a movie or book review.

I'm using this one kinda to my advantage, During the week I make videos on "Gacha Life" I take screenshots then put them together to make a story. So I'm using this as a chance to make a script.

Here's a link (I've found that embedding docs doesn't work very well) I haven't finished it yet. but I think I'll go back to it tomorrow. Give it a read, and tell me what you think in the comments! Any ideas for what should come next?

Task #3: Make a game.

This one was fun. I made a "Fanimals game" using a template. And customised the level. I'll admit Gamefruit was a little hard to use, but fun nonetheless. I don't know if I could embed a link to it, or a link to play it, So you can't play it. but I promise it was good. It was kinda short, but I spent a lot of time trying to move the view so I could see what I was doing. like I said, It wasn't easy to use..

~ Waste Essay Draft ~

Good day potatoes!

I was going to post this earlier but forgot to.

How has your week been? I hope it's been amazing!

Essays, we all know what they are, not many people like to do them. depending on what it's on, I 
might enjoy writing an essay. N this case, I didn't, no offence Mr.G! It's an odd topic, which makes it harder to write, This is just my draft (I have done my real essay)  Why not have a read?

Waste. There are many different sizes, and types of waste. Generally, we think of waste as rubbish or trash, right? That’s probably the first thing that came to mind when you read the word waste. Waste

can mean many things but in this piece of text, I’ll focus on one, Food waste.

I’ll be talking about 5 main points, solutions. Including, Its impact on money; Leftovers; Its impact

on the environment; Food donations; And a possible solution. Let’s get into it.

Wasting food can have many effects on people, and the environment, By buying food, you’re using

money, By not eating all of this food, you are wasting your money, Because you’re not eating what

you’ve paid for, Imagine all the saving you would have if you only bought what you know you’ll eat.

Leftovers. The main source of food waste. You’ve made too much food, and now you’re going to

throw away the leftovers. Don’t. Put your leftovers in the fridge, or freezer, eat it for lunch or dinner

the next day, breakfast if you want to. Don’t throw it away, unless it’s gone off, you don’t want to eat

mouldy food, but if you’ve ended up with mouldy food, it probably means you’ve made or bought

way too much food for you to eat.

Food waste has a big impact on the environment. By throwing out your food, it goes to the dump,

right? But then what? It decomposes, right? Yes, food decomposes, but there is so much that it’s not

decomposing fast enough. Therefore, the piles of food waste will keep getting bigger, meaning it’s

just another fuel for global warming.

You could donate your waste to the homeless, and the poor, I’m sure they’d be really appreciative of

that, If you’ve bought too much food that you can eat and it’s still packaged, there are bins in the

supermarket, the food put in those bins get donated to those who need it.

If we keep eating at the rate we do now, we might run out of food, so how can we prevent this?

Bugs, eating bugs might sound disgusting now, yes. But according to Ted Talk’s, ‘Why Not Eat

Bugs?’ You’re already eating them. But then if we all decided to eat bugs, we would run out of bugs

to eat. Well, why not have a more varied diet? Eating insects, and the food we eat today, this way we

won’t have the worry of running out of our food sources, depending on how much you eat.

So, ask yourself, are you wasting food? Are you buying more food than you can eat? If you answered

‘yes’ to either of those questions, try not to waste food. Don’t buy so much food, eat your leftovers.

Before throwing out your food, ask yourself, can I still eat this? Can I donate it?

Try not to waste too much food. Have a more varied diet.

Samoan Counting 1-10!

How has your week been so far? I hope it's been amazing!

Today we made scratch programs, that teaches you how to count to 10 in Samoan, using a site called scratch. I had fun making mine, and I hope you learn something new! To use this programme, press the green flag, then type a number out of these: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, and it should show that number in Samoan. Have a go!

Binary, heh~heh~heh~ >:)

Good day potatoes!

Binary. Out of you all, who knows what binary is? If you do know then you'll be a master at this, if not, I'll tell you.

Binary is the way computers count, you might be thinking, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. right? wrong.
computers only have 2 numbers, 0 and 1. here, I'll count to 10 in binary for ya.

0, 1, 10, 11, 100, 101, 111, 1000, 1001, 1011.
Only using 0 and 1. Weird right?

anyway, We had to make a picture, out of a 10 x 14 grid, only using black and white, then we coded it. 0 is white, 1 is black. We only needed to make 1, but I made 2, I did 1 at home.

Fabulous Family Tree

Kia Ora Potatoes!

I hope you've all had an amazing weekend!

Now, In Toroa, We made our family trees, only up to our grandparents though.
My dad has a lot of brothers and sisters, so his side is a lot bigger than my mums! In doing this, I also realised I'm the only, only child in my family... That was a bit of a shock but, I guess it makes sense.
