What does "Waste" mean to me?

Hello Readers!

first post of 2020! I hope you've all had amazing holidays and I can't wait to get back into the school year!

Today in Gilstom literacy we have been told to write 3 paragraphs about what... Waste means to us..?  and facts about waste..? Enjoy I guess...

Waste. What does waste mean to you? does it mean, rubbish? Waste of time? waste of materials? or all of those things? To me, it means a lot of things, like trash, waste of talent, waste of money, food waste, y'know? those kinds of things.

an example of this is:
"At the mall, we bought absolutely nothing, it was a complete waste of time"
The Cambridge Dictionary explains waste as a 'unessasary use of money, substances, time, energy, abilities, etc.:' and I agree with this, but what are other ways to explain waste?
