Distance Work Day #9

KIA ORA POTATOES!!

I hope you all had an amazing long weekend!
I made friends with a bag of chips. literally, I drew a face on the bag and talked to it like it was my friend. Even my cat looked at me weird.
His name is Gerald. I ate him. And then held a funeral in my bedroom. all my stuffed toys came, so did my cat but she left 10 seconds in. I have another bag of chips friend now. Her name is Barbra. I'll probably do the same thing with her that I did with Gerald.
Why am I posting again? Oh right!

Literacy:
We had to write 3-4 paragraphs about what we would celebrate after the world ends. :)
In 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy', earth os destroyed, so we have to write about what we think is the most valuable thing to humankind and why we must celebrate it. I wrote 2 things because I couldn't choose between them.
That photo of bread was actually my breakfast. (Small text: I told you I was eating plain bread)
and that photo of a music sheet is a song I wrote for the piano. (small text: This is a song I wrote)
For literacy, I also read chapter 5 of 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'

Math:
Coordinates on a Cartesian Plane. Now I know what they're called at least. I used to call it a 4-square math grid. but Cartesian Plane works too. Anyway, we had to watch a few videos about the plane, and then we had to play 4 games that could enhance our understanding of a plane and take screenshots of successful attempts., and then we had to design a building layout containing 4 right angles, have a vertex on a coordinate, and label all vertices. this is my slide:

I tried my best to make it look neat, but it still looks a little bit messy. at least I think it looks messy. does it look messy? I don't know anymore.

If you read my blog post from Friday, you would've seen my emoji idioms/sayings, I shall reveal the answers!

how many did you get right?

I really hope you enjoyed reading this post
I'll be posting again tomorrow.
Bye!

Disance Work Day #8

Kia Ora Potatoes!

How have you guys been? QwQ
Ok, so you know those calls we have with our literacy teachers in the morning? Well we had to dress up, the theme was 'Absurd'
I wore a cat onesie, a cake hat with 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' written on it, and I had cheerleading pom poms that I put in my hat to look like a wig. I looked like an idiot XD

So today we didn't really do literacy and numeracy, we did 'Fri-yay tasks'
There were 6 thinks to choose from off a slide, 3 of the slides were res, the other 3 were blue, we had to do 1 of each colour, or more if we wanted to. The first task I did was a blue one,

Blue task:
For the blue task I did we had to use emoji's to make idioms/sayings. we put out emoji's on a slide but didn't say what the idioms/sayings were so the teachers/other students could guess what they are, I have a screenshot of my slide here, can you guess what the idioms/sayings are?:
I'll put the answers on my next post on Monday.

Red Task:
All the red tasks were around Anzac day, all arts and crafts kind of stuff. The first 2 I couldn't do because I didn't have the materials and we cant go and get any materials at the moment so I did the 3rd one, I had to create an artwork either digital or by hand that tells a story. the example was 3 images into 1, it started with 3 kids playing, then those 3 kids all grown up going off to war, then the 3rd one was their parents grieving them by their grave cross's. I'm guilty of using the same story and layout. but it's a tiny bit different. the last image is anyway. Welp, have a look:

Mine is a little bit different, the example was all silhouette mine changes from silhouette to not silhouette. At least it looks good!

I hope you enjoyed reading!
I actually had something to say at the start this time!
Well, I'll see you on Monday!
Good day Potatoes!

Distance Work Day #7

Kia Ora Potatoes

We don't need to post every day now, but we have to post every week or something. but I want to post every day anyway so that's what I'm going to do. UwU
I actually organized and made folders in my files and its so useful! I can actually find all my stuff now!

Literacy:
We had to write 3-4 paragraphs (containing 3-4 sentences each) about a day we couldn't get a hold of, I had fun writing this, it was cool getting flashbacks to random memories. I wrote about the day my cat decided that my feet were food. Have a look at my slide:
I also read chapter's 2 and 3 of 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' Chapter 2 was really short. And I was right yesterday, I do enjoy reading it.

Math:
We had to make an android and write a description of how we made it. My androids name is Lucy. We didn't need to name them but I wanted to so I did. I do kind of wish I made her purple rather than pink but purple didn't quite look right with the blue, and I wanted to keep the blue so. Lucy is a pink android. Mr G gave us today and Friday to make it, doing the task for an hour a day. but I finished it within an hour. And as per usual, The screenshot of my slide:

I like posting. -w-
I'll be back tomorrow despite the fact that I don't need to be.
See you then!

Distance Work Day #6

Hello Potatoes!

I'm struggling to write things in these first paragraphs. Any ideas?

Literacy:
Our literacy task today was to write a paragraph about what we would do if we knew that that day was the last day before the world ended. I wrote the paragraph and has the idea to make a timetable on canva, even though it wasn't part of the task. as per usual we put it on a slide, and I took a screenshot of mine, have a look:
Today we started reading a novel, We did this by all getting a PDF of the book,  cause obviously we can't go out and get a copy of the book. We read the preface together during our 9am meet call and we'll be reading chapter's 1-4 this week when we can. I read chapter 1 today. I've been told it's an odd book but I have a feeling I'll enjoy reading it.

Math:
Not 100% sure how to explain what we had to do.
We copied a slide and filled in the blanks (first screenshotted slide shown)
and we did more evidence of the scale factor thing. (Second slide shown)
Have a look I guess?:
I had the numbers wrong yesterday so I changed it here:

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading!
I managed to Finnish everything before lunch :D
Speaking of lunch, I'm going to go have that now.
See you tomorrow!
