Distance Work day #1

Kia Ora Potatoes!!

Welcome to term 2! the holidays went by way to fast.
How have you all been, and how was your easter? I hope you've had an awesome 2 weeks, I know I did, I don't think I went outside very much. I'm definitely an introvert.

Anyway, we're back at work, distance learning, well. of course its distance learning we're still in lockdown. I'm getting off-track.

For our distance learning, we all join a 'google meet' with literacy teachers at 9.am, every week-day. they'll explain what we're doing for that day, we blog our work, and join a google meet again at 2.30pm, pretty straightforward. oh, and we all made timetables. well, gilstrom lit made schedules, not sure about everyone else though.

Anyway, Have a look at work:

Math:
For math, we collected objects from around our houses and figure out how many faces, edges and vertices there are on those objects, then put our work onto the slide set up by our teacher.

this is a screenshot of my slide:

Literacy:
For literacy, we made posters about a book/tv show/movie/e.t.c; and what the theme is for our story of choice. I chose a book called 'The Adventures of a Curious Cat' It's my favourite book, it's actually quite funny. The poster had to have a sentence that tells the reader what the theme is. I struggled a little bit with it, and I'm not sure if I got it right.. but I still tried.

here's my poster:

I hope you enjoyed reading this post!
I'll see you tomorrow!
Bye!

  1. Hi Jayde
What an awesome post. I was very entertained by it. Yes I think most have made a schedule (well the blogs I have looked at have). I think this will be really useful to keep kids busy do they don't get bored! I liked that book. Cats are my ultimate favourite animal and both my cats passed away last year :( This was very sad as they were 17! I want to get a new cat and I'm thinking of getting a Russian Blue cat as they can play fetch like a dog. Wait - maybe I should get a dog in that case??
Looking forward to reading more posts from you Jayde! Mrs Pascoe
