Distance Work Day #15

Hello, Potatoes!

How are you? how has your morning/brunch/lunch/afternoon/dinner/evening been? you know what better wording, How has your day been? I've been listening to 'Learn To Meow (Remix)' all day. its a song in Japanese and the only lyrics I understand are 'meow, meow, meow, meow' but it has my favourite YouTuber (Wengie) in it and it sounds epic, so I like it. The video's cool too! the original song is good to.. but the remix has Wengie in it... ok, I'm getting off-track, let's get into the actual blog post!

Literacy:
We had to write things in the appropriate category (we came up with the things to write in the boxes) we had to write things that have a higher chance of happening in the 'probable' section, things that are unlikely but could happen in the 'improbable' section, and things that would never ever never happen in the 'impossible' section, we aren't doing the other 2 sections today. and you'll see in the 'probable' section I wrote that I'd be listening to 'Learn To Meow (Remix)' all day tomorrow, and I think the chance of that happening went up by 80% when I wrote it.
The next thing we had to do is write about something improbable happening, whether it was fictional or if it actually happened. I wrote a made-up (fictional) story. I don't want to say my life is 'normal' because it is 100% not normal, and I don't know of anything improbable happening to any of my friends, so I just wrote a made-up story.

Maths:
This was a hard task, and I admit, I got really frustrated, but only on #3, the other 9.. no, 8 were reasonably easy. I didn't have as much fun doing maths today as I have the last couple days, but I still had fun.
we had to calculate the area of composite shapes. some we had to find the area of the non-coloured area, others we had to find the area of the coloured area. Some were easier than others. I managed to do 9 of them, he 10th one I don't know how to work out yet. Have a look!

Trying to find the area of a window inside a rectangle with only the measurements of the rectangle is rather difficult. And I don't know what it means by '3 significant figures' yet, can any of you explain this to me? please?

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post!
I had a lot of fun writing it!
I'll be back tomorrow!
See you then!
